  • Each participant must personally collect their starter pack from the race office and submit the signed declaration of participation and disclaimer. Minors must have the disclaimer signed by their legal guardians.
  • Participants must be in good health at the start. The organiser warns that taking painkillers or similar medication before the race can be life-threatening. Participation is entirely at the athlete’s own risk.
  • Instructions from security personnel must be followed.
  • Luggage can only be handed in with the designated baggage tag. The organiser assumes no liability for loss or damage.
  • The race briefing is mandatory for all athletes.
  • Race numbers must be worn visibly during the race.
  • Participants in the speed class must take on the original Streif course, while backpack class participants may take the alternative Familienstreif route but must start via Ganslernhang.
  • All progress must be made using only the participant’s own physical effort. External assistance is not permitted.
  • All participants must comply with any course changes made by the organiser.
  • Small children and animals are not allowed on the course.
  • In case of early withdrawal, health issues, or unexpected race termination, the course marshals must be informed immediately.
  • All participants must take the cable car back down to the valley. Skiing or descending the course using other sports equipment is strictly prohibited.
  • The mandatory equipment (headlamp, helmet, and backpack for backpack class participants) must be worn.
  • Littering (e.g. water bottles, gel or bar wrappers) outside of designated refreshment stations is strictly prohibited.
  • Athletes who do not finish within 2 hours and 40 minutes will not be included in the official ranking. However, they are welcome to complete the course.
  • Prizes will only be awarded to participants who are present at the awards ceremony.
  • The organiser reserves the right to cancel or terminate the event due to extreme weather or force majeure. No liability will be assumed for any damages arising from such decisions.
  • If a participant is disqualified, does not start, withdraws, or terminates the race early, they are not entitled to a refund of the entry fee or any other compensation.
  • Personal data (name, address, email, phone number, and date of birth) will be processed for automated data management. Photos, videos, and audio recordings may be used by the organiser for PR and promotional purposes on the website, in print, and in other media without compensation.

Entry fees are non-refundable. Deferrals to the following year are not possible. No substitutions can be made during race week!

Gross time timing – The chip is integrated into the bib number!

IMPORTANT: Do not confuse the bib number with the baggage tag!

Athletes who have not reached the finish line within 2:40 hours will no longer be included in the official ranking. Of course, you are welcome to finish the race!

6:15 PM in the start area, attendance is mandatory for all athletes!

  • Drop-off: From 4:00 PM until no later than 6:00 PM at the Hahnenkamm valley station, at the rear of the building (see site map).
  • Collection: Directly at the Hahnenkamm mountain station (at the entrance to the descent, on the left side).
  • All baggage must be labelled with the baggage tag (no liability for damage or loss). IMPORTANT: Do not confuse with the race bib number
  • Please do not attach anything to the outside of the backpack!

Start: 6:30 PM directly at the Hahnenkamm finish house, Red Bull/Rasmushof

Finish: Streif start house

You can follow the results live online – times will appear immediately after crossing the finish line! → LIVE TIMING

  • Seidlalm – Tea
  • Finish area – Tea and cold drinks

  • Dinner available from 7:30 PM at K3 KitzKongress

All athletes who reach the finish line will receive a finisher medal. Certificates can be downloaded directly from the results page. Individual athlete photos are available through Sportshot.

Only with the Hahnenkamm cable car – IMPORTANT: The last descent is at 9:30 pm (free for all participants, please show your bib number). Skiing or using any other sports equipment for the descent is strictly prohibited and will result in a lifetime ban from the Vertical Up!

Free shower facilities are available for athletes at the Aquarena swimming centre (behind K3 KitzKongress) from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

7:30 PM – Dinner at K3 KitzKongress with live music

9:45 PM – Official awards ceremony for all categories (prizes will not be awarded in the absence of the winner and will be forfeited)

Afterwards – After race party with live music and a bar

The following violations will result in disqualification:

  • Use of prohibited equipment
  • External assistance
  • Unsportsmanlike behaviour and failure to follow the instructions of the safety personnel
  • Failure to visibly wear the bib number at checkpoints and the finish line
  • Throwing litter (such as water bottles, gel and bar wrappers) outside of the refreshment stations
  • Switching from the backpack course to the speed course is allowed at any time during the race. However, switching from speed to backpack is not permitted; in the speed class, the original Streif race course must be completed!
  • After finishing the race, descending the course with skis or other sports equipment is strictly prohibited; please only descend with the Hahnenkamm cable car

Athletes who have not reached the finish line within 2:40 hours will no longer be considered in the rankings. Of course, you may finish the race!

IMPORTANT:

If the event is cancelled due to force majeure, adverse weather conditions, or a governmental cancellation, the entry fee will not be refunded or transferred to the following year! This also applies in the case of disqualification, non-participation, race withdrawal, or early termination. We appreciate your understanding!
